What We Believe
What We Believe
At Love Christian Fellowship, our beliefs are grounded in the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
These foundational truths shape our worship, guide our lives, and reflect the love, hope, and freedom we’ve found in Christ.

The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.

Jesus Christ is God the son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.

He teaches and guides one into all truth.

Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God. He fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that water baptism is necessary as instructed by Christ in John 3:5 and Matthew 28:19-20. However, we do not believe that water baptism alone is a means of salvation, but is an outward demonstration that one has already had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Water baptism simply signifies what has already taken place in your life, according to Romans 6:1-5.

Holy Communion (aka Holy Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper) symbolizes the Lord’s death and suffering for the benefit and in the place of His people. It is reenacted in accordance with Jesus’ instruction at the Last Supper as recorded in several books of the New Testament, that his followers do in remembrance of Him as when He gave his disciples bread, saying “This is my body”, and gave them drink, saying, “This is my blood” (Matthew 26:26-28). Holy Communion represents not only the death of Christ as the object of faith which unites the believer to Christ, but also the effect of this act as the giving of life, strength, and joy to the soul.

Jesus Christ, by His example, showed that humility characterized greatness in the Kingdom of God, and that service, rendered to others gave evidence that humility, motivated by love, exists.

The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. He shall come from heaven to earth. The Second Coming will be personal and visible. The Church, the bride, will be caught up to meet Him in the air. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth to holy living and faithful service.
